ISTELive 24 is an event organized by the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), which annually attracts more than 17,000 teachers and education stakeholders to share the latest education technology and information through more than 1,000 expert sessions. This year’s event reportedly attracted more than 440 global education-related companies, organizations, and more.
Elice unveiled the prototype of AI digital textbooks developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, which will be introduced next year to demonstrate the excellence of K-Edtech. For overseas education officials who visited the booth, the prototype AI digital textbooks for secondary English and information subjects developed by Elice last year were demonstrated. The AI dashboard function, which enables students to check their learning status at a glance and provide customized feedback, was introduced, as were systematic learning complementary functions based on learning maps and customized generative AI exercises for students. Elice School LXP, an AI education solution advanced with generative AI technology, was also introduced. Elice School LXP is a cloud-based SaaS solution that can customize AI education solutions, which has attracted great interest from K12 education stakeholders in the United States.
Elice School LXP is equipped with AI Helpy, a generative AI chatbot based on a small language model specialized for education, which provides fast and accurate answers even when multiple students ask questions at the same time, and can be applied to each educational situation such as elementary, middle and high schools, universities, and enterprises by converting various speech styles. In addition, various AI functions such as AI automatic quiz submission and AI dashboard are included to create a differentiated educational environment.
Elice presented K12’s comprehensive coding curriculum, which includes Scratch and Python, as well as a detailed curriculum for the AI era, emphasizing project-based learning.
“After demonstrating the AI digital textbook prototype in the field, we can see that overseas education officials are showing great interest in K-Edtech, which is leading the AI transformation of public education with the Ministry of Education and private companies,” said Kim Jae-won, CEO of Elice. “In particular, as the U.S. education field is also rapidly changing to respond to the rapid development of AI technology, many U.S. school officials who experienced our AI technology-centered education solutions have inquired about their adoption, and many schools have decided to run pilot projects, so we expect to see results in the U.S. market in the second half of the year.”
