Object storage enables large-scale data training for AI model development

Elice, Inc. (CEO Kim Jae-won), an AI education solution company, is introducing the “Elice Cloud DataHub” service to its cloud solution “Elice Cloud” based on its own data center. With the launch of this service, Elice Cloud has completed the AI cloud infrastructure solution required for AI research, model development, and serviceization, consisting of projects, on-demand, ML APIs, and data hubs.

Elice Cloud DataHub is an object storage-based product that optimizes AI model research and development. It can conveniently and reliably create, store, and analyze large amounts of unstructured data in a cloud environment, and it is easy to scale, making it excellent for training large amounts of data required for AI model development.

It utilizes a web GUI and allows users to access virtual environments in folders, making it easy to use. Elice, Inc. plans to leverage its current partnerships to provide more services to customers using Elice Cloud DataHub.

In particular, the company provides services based on its own PMDC (Portable Modular Data Center), which is located in Korea. This facilitates data security. In the process of AI model research and development, which utilizes various types of unstructured data, the quantity and quality of data used for training determines performance. Therefore, reliable and efficient data management and optimization are crucial.

Furthermore, we have enhanced our price competitiveness by procuring hardware infrastructure, such as GPUs optimized for AI clouds, and operating them with software developed in-house. Even at the GPU usage stage, we have introduced dynamic allocation technology that allows users to utilize as many GPUs as necessary, and a pay-as-you-go cost policy, which enables users to utilize GPUs without the burden of purchasing them.

This launch completes Elice’s comprehensive cloud solution for AI research, development, and commercialization.

Elice Cloud has been mainly used for startups, graduate AI research, and corporate AI hackathons due to its cost-effectiveness, convenient development environment, and stability. With the addition of the DataHub service, it is expected to be used by domestic and international universities and companies that want to easily build a centralized cloud storage for the entire process of AI model development.
